ES RACO D’ARTÀ | mallorca, spain

STAY Yes, another Spanish property on our list, they were both just so good. The first word on Es Raco d’Artà’s website homepage reads “Respira” meaning Breathe, and what a fitting opening line. The entire property feels weightless, and like a breath of fresh Mediterranean air. With just eight rooms in the main house, two casas and 21 casitas, the property is small, in the best way. What used to be an agricultural estate now welcomes guests with beamed ceilings, whitewashed linens, and jute carpets all while still operating as a working farm.

With 14-acres, the property harvests fresh olives, honey, herbs and vegetables which are all served to guests from the charmingly primitive kitchen. Guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in local cooking methods, agricultural handicraft workshops, meditation and contemplation exercises, and spa treatments. Upon arrival, guests are prompted to “start their way”, which sets the pace and incorporates different activities for each individual stay based on the specific goals of the guest.
